As part of our commitment to being a good neighbour to the communities in which we operate, Wheelabrator Technologies is providing a community benefit fund for local community groups and organisations. The fund is £50,000, which is being made available during the remaining two years of our construction phase.
We will accept applications from projects or organisations that will directly benefit our host communities. This covers an area north of the A2 from Bobbing in the west to Tonge in the east, and north to the Sheppey crossing. It also covers an area of Sheppey immediately to the north of the Wheelabrator Kemsley site. See map here.
Organisations based outside of this area are eligible to apply, as long as they can prove how the award of funding will have a beneficial impact on the communities within it.
You can download a PDF version of our application form here and a Word version here. Once you have completed your application form, please email it to firstname.lastname@example.org or post it to The Communications Team, Wheelabrator Technologies, Portland House, London, SW1E 5BH.
